Our objective is to promote the Labrador Retriever and to assist owners so that they may enjoy their Labradors to the utmost.
We have been active in all things Labrador retriever since the club was originally incorporated in 1975. We have held numerous Conformation, Obedience and Hunt tests since our inception . All members have agreed to
1) Abide by the Canadian Kennel Club rules governing the registration of dogs and litters and the rules governing trials and shows.
2) A recommendation, at this time, that all dogs used for breeding should be x-rayed for hip dysplasia and tested for Progressive Retinal Atrophy
3) A recommendation to replace all dogs of their breeding which, which when x-rayed by two years of age, are certified to have Hip Dysphasia or Progressive Retinal Atrophy, providing the dog's owner wishes the replacement.
4) Be courteous and helpful to all exhibitors, contestants and judges
5) Encourage the breeding of the Labrador Retriever from sound stock with good temperament and study the breed standard.
6) Assist the novice whenever possible
